Creating a Greener Future: MCU Organized It's Tree-Growing Initiative

Manila Central University National Training Services Program (NSTP) recently participated in a tree-growing project at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) La Mesa Watershed in Quezon City on June 27, 2023, as part of the "C.O.M.E. (Caring Our Mother Earth) and GROW Program," with the theme "Plant a Tree and Save Lives for Free."

Through its collaboration with DENR NCR, MCU has taken on the responsibility of caring for a one-hectare area within the La Mesa Watershed. The university actively engaged in tree-growing activities with the goal of promoting sustainable natural resource utilization and safeguarding the protection of the environment.

The participation of MCU's Environmental Science Training Program in this tree-growing project was a testament to the university's commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability. By actively contributing to the reforestation efforts at the La Mesa Watershed, MCU demonstrates its dedication to the preservation of our natural resources and the overall well-being of our planet.

Together, MCU and DENR NCR are working hand in hand to create a greener and more sustainable future for all. Through initiatives like the tree-growing project, we can contribute to the preservation of our natural heritage and ensure a healthier planet for generations to come.
