The 1st Collaboration Symposium between Calayan Educational Foundation Inc. (CEFI) and MCU-College of Physical Therapy (CPT) proved to be a resounding success as it convened on July 8, 2023. The symposium, titled "Knowledge, Assessment, Trends, and Developing Meaningful Goals for Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation," provided a platform for insightful discussions and meaningful exchanges on the subject.
The distinguished opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Wilma Rivadenera, the Cluster Dean of the College of Health Sciences at Calayan Educational Foundation Inc., and Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco, the esteemed President of MCU. Their presence added to the significance of the event, highlighting the collaborative efforts between the institutions in addressing the challenges of Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation. Leading the symposium were distinguished guest speakers, Mr. Erickson P. Portales, PTRP from CEFI, and Mr. Angelo M. Escobido, an alumnus of MCU-CPT. Their expertise and experience brought valuable perspectives to the table, inspiring the faculty and 2nd-3rd year students in attendance.
