Manila Central University formalized its partnership with the Universities and Colleges Basketball League (UCBL) on September 14, 2023, through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
UCBL has gained recognition for its reputation in showcasing top-tier basketball teams representing universities and colleges across the nation. With this newfound partnership, the University is enthusiastically preparing to take part in the much-anticipated 6th Season of the UCBL.
Notable dignitaries from the University were present at the MOA signing ceremony. Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco Jr., the University President, graced the occasion with his presence, along with Ms. Chynna Roxanne Gonzales, the Executive Vice President. Ms. Grace Belleza Alcala, who serves as the Director of Student Affairs and Services, also attended, alongside Mr. Ian Racela, the esteemed Head Coach of the Basketball Team.
In addition to the University's representatives, key figures from the UCBL were in attendance to witness this momentous occasion. Among them were Mr. Franklin Evidente, the President of UCBL, who played a pivotal role in facilitating this partnership. Mr. Horacio Lim, the Tournament Director, and Mr. Carmelo Navarro, the Marketing Head, and Mr. Bernard Yang, the Social Media Head, were also present.
With this alliance between the University and UCBL, sports enthusiasts and supporters can eagerly anticipate an exhilarating season of basketball as the University gears up to make its mark in the UCBL's 6th Season.
