Manila Central University (MCU) has sealed a partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) by signing the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) happened last April 26, 2023, paving the way for MCU to adopt an area within the La Mesa Watershed Reservation for a one-hectare National Greening Program site.
Under the agreement, the NSTP Department and Biology Program will manage the site, making it an excellent location for BS Biology students to conduct ecological field studies. Moreover, DENR-NCR personnel will deliver lectures and seminars to the MCU community to promote social learning and showcase the institution's dedication to environmental conservation and management.
The MOA signing was made possible through the joint efforts of MCU officials led by Vice President for Planning and External Affairs Dr. Renato Tanchoco Jr. and Vice President for Academic Dr. Angelo Maduli.
